BRC - Ofsted Report
Brent River College provides education for up to 56 students aged 11 to 16 who have been permanently excluded from mainstream school. They are taught in groups of normally no more than seven.
We are delighted that Ofsted, the schools inspectorate, consider us to be a Good school. You can see our last OFSTED report by visiting the OFSTED website.
"Pupils feel valued and are interested in their learning."
"Teachers know their pupils well and plan interesting activities that motivate them to make good progress."
"Pupils’ behaviour and attitudes to learning are good. They feel safe and secure in school"
"In the school’s own surveys, parents expressed very positive views about the difference the school makes in improving their children’s attitudes and behaviour."
"Pupils reported that they love being in a small school where they are given a fresh chance to succeed. Staff listen and help pupils to understand their emotions and give them effective strategies to manage their own behaviour and learning."
